TeamBattles includes interactive tutorials that guide you through key actions with highlighted UI elements and step-by-step instructions.

How Tutorials Work

When you start a tutorial, TeamBattles highlights the element you need to interact with and shows an instruction popup. Each step asks you to perform a specific action - clicking a button, focusing an input field, or observing a result. During a tutorial:
  • A dimmed overlay highlights the target element
  • An instruction popup tells you what to do
  • You can go back to previous steps, skip, or close at any time
  • Progress is tracked automatically

Available Tutorials

There are four getting-started tutorials:
TutorialStepsWhat You Learn
Create Organization4Open the entity selector, create an organization, and fill in details
Join Organization5Navigate to Discover, browse organizations, and request to join
Join League5Navigate to Discover, browse leagues, and apply to compete
Create Team4Open the entity selector, create a team within your organization
Create Team requires you to have staff rights (Owner, Admin, or Manager) in an organization first.

Starting a Tutorial

From the Setup Wizard

When you first sign up and complete your profile, TeamBattles shows a “What would you like to do?” screen with four options. Selecting an option starts the corresponding tutorial. You can also skip this screen and explore on your own.

From the Dashboard

The Tutorials section on your dashboard lists all available tutorials. Click any tutorial to start it. Completed tutorials are marked with a checkmark and can be replayed at any time.

Paused Tutorials

Some tutorials pause at certain steps - for example, after you start filling in a form. When a tutorial is paused:
  • A floating “Tutorial in progress” badge appears in the bottom-right corner
  • The tutorial resumes automatically when you complete the action (such as navigating to the newly created page)
  • If you don’t return within 24 hours, the tutorial is automatically abandoned
You can also cancel a paused tutorial by clicking the floating badge.

Skipping and Navigation

During any tutorial step, you can:
  • Back - Return to the previous step
  • Close - Exit the tutorial without completing it
  • View Others - See other available tutorials

Completion

When you finish a tutorial, a completion screen shows what you accomplished and suggests other tutorials you might want to try next. Your progress is saved locally in your browser. Switching accounts resets tutorial progress.
