Access billing settings from Settings > Billing to manage your subscription, view payment history, and configure your subscription badge.

Current Plan

Your billing page shows your current subscription tier, including:
  • Tier name and price for your billing interval (monthly or yearly)
  • Subscription status (active, trialing, cancels at period end)
  • Next billing date
While you are on a free trial, the plan card shows a “No charge until ” message in place of the next billing date - you are not charged until the trial ends.

Subscription Badge

Your subscription tier is displayed as a badge on your public profile. You can control this visibility:
1

Go to Billing

Navigate to Settings > Billing
2

Find Badge Toggle

Look for the “Show subscription badge” toggle
3

Toggle Visibility

Turn it off to hide the badge from your public profile
When hidden, your profile will appear as if you have the Free tier to other users. Your actual subscription benefits remain active.

Payment History

The billing page includes a payment history table showing:
ColumnDescription
DateWhen the payment was processed
DescriptionWhat was purchased
AmountPayment amount
StatusPaid or Refunded
Subscription charges and one-time a la carte purchases both appear here. Each description is sourced from the product catalog display name (for example, “Premium (Annual)” or “Remove Donut & Breadstick (Gift)”).

Managing Your Subscription

To upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription, open the subscription sheet from the billing page or any locked feature:
1

Open the Sheet

Click Upgrade, Change Plan, or any locked feature
2

3

New limits and features apply immediately
To manage payment methods or cancel directly, use the Manage subscription button. It opens your Polar customer portal in a new tab, and the portal’s return_url brings you back to Settings > Billing when you are done.
Downgrading preserves existing items above the new limit, but you will not be able to add more until you are within the new limit.
