League of Legends - Match Rules
Rules and settings that apply to competitive matches.
All rules listed below, as well as any situations not explicitly covered, are subject to Admin review and enforcement at their discretion.
Loadout & Gameplay Restrictions
Gameplay Rules
Intentional Feeding
Deliberately dying to enemy players or turrets to provide the opposing team with gold and experience advantages.
- Repeatedly walking into enemy turrets or players without attempting to fight
- Selling all items and purchasing sub-optimal builds to handicap performance
AFK & Going Idle
Leaving the game or going idle during an active match. All players must remain actively participating for the entire duration.
- Standing in fountain without participating in gameplay
- Disconnecting and not attempting to reconnect
- Moving only enough to avoid the AFK detection system
Bug & Exploit Abuse
Using any champion ability, item interaction, or game mechanic that creates an unintended game-breaking advantage.
- Champion/item interactions causing infinite damage or invulnerability
- Terrain exploits allowing access to unintended map areas
- Any mechanic publicly identified as a bug by Riot Games
Ghosting
Having any third party relay game information from a spectator feed, stream, or broadcast to an active player during the match.
- A non-player watching the spectator feed and communicating enemy positions
- Using a secondary device to watch the opponent's stream
Match Policies
Penalties
Violations are enforced with escalating penalties. All enforcement is subject to Admin review.
First offense for minor infractions. A formal warning is issued and recorded.
Second offense or moderate infractions. Points are deducted from the team's standings.
Third offense or serious infractions. The match is forfeited and recorded as a loss.
Repeated or egregious violations. The player or team is suspended from competition.
Any additional rule or restriction changes must be mutually agreed upon before the match and supported by written or verbal proof.
